We’ve developed a simple test of\u00a0authenticity.<\/p>\n
There are 12 statements.\u00a0You\u00a0need to give each one a score depending on how often your behaviour matches with the statement. The possible responses are 1 – always, 2 \u2013 mostly, 3 \u2013 in between, 4 \u2013 sometimes, 5 \u2013 never. When\u00a0you\u00a0have scored each one, add your score up to see how\u00a0you\u00a0fared.<\/p>\n
1. \u00a0 \u00a0I tell the truth.
\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I am clear about my values.
\n3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I have difficult conversations without delay.
\n4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I am consistent in my dealings with people.
\n5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I lead by example.
\n6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 There is alignment between what I say and what I do.
\n7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When I know I need to act, I act without delay.
\n8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I do what I say I am going to do.
\n9.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I can be trusted.
\n10. \u00a0I know myself.
\n11. \u00a0I am the same on the inside as I appear on the outside.
\n12. \u00a0I say what I mean and mean what I say.<\/p>\n
A total score of 12-24 means that\u00a0you\u00a0have replied either always or mostly to all 12. This would indicate a high level of\u00a0authenticity\u00a0\u2013 well done, keep it up.<\/p>\n
A score of 25\u201336 indicates that\u00a0you\u00a0are going well, but there is room for improvement. Don\u2019t get complacent.<\/p>\n
If\u00a0you\u00a0scored between 36 and 48 it means that\u00a0you\u00a0have plenty of work to do.<\/p>\n
Scoring more than 48 indicates an urgent need for action to improve your\u00a0authentic\u00a0behaviour. Your lack of\u00a0authenticity\u00a0is most probably holding\u00a0you\u00a0back in your leading.<\/p>\n
The good news is that there is plenty that\u00a0you\u00a0can do to improve. If this is what\u00a0you\u00a0want, simply look back at the statements in theauthenticity\u00a0audit and identify what\u00a0you\u00a0scored highest on.\u00a0 Go to work on those areas.<\/p>\n
